Once fall comes, the calendar editor in me is tickled pink with all sorts of brand new events and get-togethers, along with the return of seasonal favorites. This weekend is a perfect example of “something for everyone.” Mariachi hottie Edna Vazquez kicks things off on Thursday, followed by the opening of the Portland Lesbian & Gay Film Festival on Friday (and a handful of awesome dance nights… my personal favorite being TWERK, if you’re into that sort of thing.) The Mr. Oregon Bear and Cub contest is Saturday’s big ticket (and for the less-scruffy, may I recommend Pervert the Cirque?). And then, of course, the lovely ladies of Darcelle’s bring back crowd favorite Hot Chocolate to break it all down Sunday night.

We want to have our calendar be the most extensive (and accurate) place for you to get information on queer events in town, but we need your help! If you would like to submit an event to our online calendar, you can now do it through this form on our web site. If you want to be included in our print edition of the calendar, send an e-mail to me at [email protected]. I make no guarantees that I will list your event in the print edition, but I will do my best.
