PQ Hump Day Free Ride: Portland Gay Men’s Chorus tickets and other goodies

By Erin Rook, PQ Monthly

This week’s PQ Hump Day Giveaway has a little extra heft to it. Headlining the package is a pair of tickets to the Portland Gay Men’s Chorus performance Classical Matinee: Love and Marriage (3 p.m. Oct. 21 at Reed College). The chorus, founded in 1980, seeks to “expand, redefine, and perfect the choral art through eclectic performances that honor and uplift the gay community and affirm the worth of all people.” We love the chorus, and we’re pretty sure we’re not alone (see last year’s shout out from Portlandia).

But before you soak in all that loving goodness, amp it up with a some autumn “sun,” a cup o’ Joe, and a tasty brunch. (To ensure that good feeling lasts, why not get your pup’s teeth cleaned so that funky breath doesn’t spoil your mood.) That’s right, PQ is throwing in gift certificates to Tan Republic, Morning Brewtender, Blue Pig Cafe, and K9 Dental.

How do I win this virtual gift basket of fabulousness, you ask? Email the answers to the following questions to erin@pqmonthly.com.

Here are your questions (all the answers can be found on our website):

1. What annual event is happening at Pioneer Square on September 16?

2. How long is Moscow Pride banned for?

3. Name one artist featured in PQ’s coverage of the Time-Based Art Festival.

You have until midnight Friday, Aug. 24, to send in your answers. One lucky winner will be selected at random from the submissions received by the deadline. We’ll announce the winners Saturday. And…..GO!

Stay tuned for the next PQ Hump Day Free Ride.
