The Portland Gay Men’s Chorus will host its fourth annual Gay Fair on the Square Sunday, Sept. 16 at Pioneer Courthouse Square from 12:30 to 5 p.m.
Dozens of LGBTQ organizations will fill the square with resources for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer folks and their allies. While the crowds mill about, the Portland Gay Symphonic Band, Confluence, Soromundi Lesbian Chorus of Eugene, and others will join the PGMC on stage where the chorus will officially launch its 33rd season.
The full stage schedule, according to PGMC:
12:35 to 1:15 – Portland Gay Symphonic Band
1:25 to 1:40 – Without Apology
1:45 to 2:25 – Soromundi: Lesbian Chorus of Eugene
2:30 to 2:45 – Cascade: A Subgroup of PGMC
2:50 to 3:35 – Portland Gay Men’s Chorus
3:45 to 4:30 – Confluence: Willamette Valley LGBT Chorus
4:35 to 4:50 – Dance Crew – QUEEN
Among the community organizations represented at the free fair will be athletic teams, LGBTQ youth groups, art communities, HIV support groups, and various LGBTQ business, social and networking groups. Nike will sponsor a sports tent, while Providence Health & Services will sponsor a wellness tent.
